Maybe they thought it was a symbol of the Nazis. Or maybe they don't like 911's. Trololololololo

Seems pretty normal to me. Most schools here have haircut policies along those lines. It's bizarre the mother thought it was OK to send her kid to school like that, because I'm sure she knew it was against the rules. She may not understand that her 11 year old son thinks he's 'gangsta' because he has a design shaved into his hair, but the school sure as hell do.

The mother sure handled it in a very adult and mature way, by taking her son out of school for a week.

I pierced my ear around that age. I was the coolest kid in middle school.

My dad wanted me to get mine pierced since I was around that age (already had his forever), but I waited until I was 18. It would definitely make me look twice seeing a young kid with one haha.

I'm glad I don't live there, at 11 I had hair past my shoulders, at 13 I had a Mohawk.. I guess I'd be banned for life with asinine rules like that.

I had to do it myself because of my incredibly conservative parents. Wore it at school and pretty much any time I wasn't near the parents. I was almost as good at hiding the earring as I was hiding my smokes

They caught me once with it. I was in junior high, pretty sure. Dag did I get ripped up one side and down the other! They took it away from me and I fashioned another out of a paperclip. The next day my girlfriend gave me one of hers lol

All that work for a piece of jewelry. I didn't get the other one pierced until three years ago. I'm a happier person now, being more symmetrical.

Why? His school has a uniform policy which he is violating and so is being punished for it. Shit I'd get detention if my hair was too long in the schools I went to. This would have gotten me a suspension and an ass whooping from my dad for being a massive tool.

My brother did this when he was in high school (1994-1996). Everyone thought it was great.

And, no, no one in our family has ever owned a VW. He did a bunch of designs/shapes just for something different.

It looks more like a V for Vendetta emblem than a VW embnlem, that could help explain.

We hear that often.

Mostly from kids that had piercings.
